WCU's Matt Cook Plays Third and Final Round at NCAA East Regional

Orlando, Fla. - Western Carolina sophomore Matt Cook shot a five-over 77 in his final round of the NCAA East Regional Championships, played at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club. Cook carded a three-round score of 237 to finish 123rd in the 141-person field.

Cook started by going three over on his first three holes. He birdied his eighth hole, but took a double bogey on his ninth hole for a five-over 41 for his first nine. Cook turned in three straight pars before getting a birdie on the par three fourth (his 13th hole). The Murphy native then reeled off four more pars and ended his round with a bogey to turn in an even par final nine.
