WCU Men's Golf in 16th After Round One at El Diablo

Matt Cook Stands in Fifth

Citrus Springs, Fla. - Western Carolina shot an opening round 316 to stand in 16th place at the El Diablo Intercollegiate, hosted by Marshall and played in Citrus Springs, Fla. Catamount sophomore Matt Cook fired an even par 72 in the first round to place fifth after 18 holes, just three strokes off the lead. The 54-hole event will conclude with 36 holes on Saturday.
