Cullowhee, N.C. -
Debbie Edwards, of High Point, N.C., is this week's recipient of four free tickets to a Catamount home game after his question was picked in the weekly ÒAsk Kent BriggsÓ promotion. Edwards, who has won tickets to the Chattanooga game, asked Western's first-year coach, ÒIt is a matter of great pride for all fans and alumni to win the Homecoming game, how do you let your players know the added significance of this game?Ó
Coach Briggs's reply was the following. ÒAs a football player, Homecoming is very important because a lot of ex-players came back to rekindle old relationships and see the status of the football program The will evaluate the positions they played, as well as the entire team, in terms of performance, hustle and talent. The will expect a win so they can fully enjoy Homecoming weekend. Players are traditionally held responsible to make this happen. We will make sure our players to the things necessary to accomplish this task.Ó
Western will host Chattanooga at 2 pm as the University celebrates Homecoming week in Cullowhee.
