Not only an All-American candidate in football, but also a track & field athlete as well ... Helped WCU win the 2004 SoCon Indoor Championship, placing seventh in the shot put (43'7.25") ... In 2005, placed 10th in the shot put at the SoCon Outdoors (42'2") ... Had an impressive summer of 2005, setting WCU strength & conditioning records ... Owns the all-time record among defensive tackles in bench press (460 lbs), clean (365) and pro shuttle (4.26 seconds).
2005 (Jr.): Was recognized by the league coaches as a First Team All-Southern Conference honoree despite tallying just 21 tackles on the season, including three tackles for losses and two sacks ... However, it was Foster's play up front, disrupting plays and commanding double teams, which went a long way in Western Carolina ranking first in the nation in pass defense, fifth in pass efficiency defense and among the SoCon top three in five defensive categories ... Top game was an eight-tackle performance versus Wofford ... Additionally blocked a field goal versus the Terriers to help preserve a shutout, which was also the first time ever Wofford had been shutout in a league game ... Tallied four stops in the Mars Hill and Citadel games ... Added a sack at Cincinnati ... Also tabbed first team All-SoCon by the coaches in the preseason.
2004 (So.): Played in 10 games, starting four (West Virginia State, Nicholls State, Furman and Georgia Southern ... Missed one game due to an injury ... Came on strong at season's end, tallying four stops at Elon and versus Appalachian State ... On the Mountaineers second drive of the game, Foster forced a fumble, which was recovered by Western.
2003 (Fr.): Played in all 12 games in his true freshman year ... Saw his playing time increase as the season progressed, starting the last six games ... Was second among the Catamount defensive tackles in total hits with 29 ... His eight tackles for losses ranked sixth on the team ... Had a sack in the Johnson C. Smith and Chattanooga games ... Finished the J.C. Smith game with four total hits ... Had four tackles in the Furman, Georgia Southern and Wofford games as well ... Of his four tackles versus Wofford, two went for losses.
Prior to Western: A first team All-Northeast Georgia pick ... Tabbed honorable mention All-State by the Atlanta Journal Constitution ... Received his team's Barry Malcolm Lineman Award after getting 65 tackles, including seven sacks, and three fumble recoveries as a senior ... Had 50 tackles and four sacks as a junior, while registering 105 stops and two sacks as a sophomore ... Also a standout wrestler, winning a region title as a junior and finishing second in the region and third in the state as a sophomore.
