2007 PRESEASON ALL-SOUTHERN CONFERENCE (2nd Team Cornerback)
2006 (Jr.): Started the first four games of the season at corner back before suffering a foot sprain versus Georgia Southern forcing him to miss the final seven games of the season ... Had 10 total tackles, including eight solo stops, with two interceptions in his first four games ... Picks came against Chowan - which he returned 44 yards -- and nationally-ranked Eastern Kentucky ... Tied for the game-high honors with seven stops versus EKU, while also forcing a fumble.
2005 (So.): Set a Western Carolina strength & conditioning record in the summer of 2005 with a time of 3.97 in the pro shuttle and, in 2006, set a record in the L Drill with a time of 6.73 ... Despite Bruce Lee being a preseason All-Southern Conference selection, Bailey won the spot opposite Francis Brown, starting eight of WCU's nine games and helping WCU rank first in the nation in pass defense ... Ranked seventh on the team with 33 tackles ... Added two interceptions, including a 28-yard return for a touchdown at Chattanooga ... Was named SoCon Defensive Player of the Week for his performance versus the Mocs ... Tallied a career- and game-high 10 tackles, leading the Catamounts to a 38-20 victory at Chattanooga ... Of his 10 tackles, eight were solo stops ... Added a pass breakup and gave WCU a 10-7 lead early in the second quarter with his touchdown ... Second career pick came one week later as part of a six-tackle performance in a win over Elon ... Forced a fumble in WCU's win over Furman.
2004 (Fr.): Enrolled at Western in January of 2004 ... Participated in spring drills and played as a true freshman ... Played in 10 games, starting in the season finale at The Citadel for an injured Francis Brown ... Tallied nine tackles on the season with a pass breakup ... Had a season-high three stops at Elon, while collecting two tackles each versus West Virginia State and Appalachian State ... Helped WCU rank 15th nationally in pass defense (163.64 yards/game).
Prior to Western: In 2003, ranked among the nation's top 25 defensive backs in Athlon and Street and Smith ... A two-time first team all-region and all-area selection ... As a senior, had 51 tackles and two interceptions, while getting 54 tackles and seven interceptions as a junior ... For his career, tallied 147 tackles with 10 interceptions ... Added 12 blocked kicks for his career, including nine blocked field goals ... Also played receiver, hauling in 21 passes for 398 yards and four touchdowns for his career.
