Women's Cross Country Climbs to 22nd in FinishLynx Poll

The Wake Forest womenˇ¦s cross country team climbed into the 22nd spot in the FinishLynx/NCAA Division I Womenˇ¦s Cross Country National Poll. The Deacs were previously 24th in the weekly rankings.

The Demon Deacon harriers are off to a strong start, winning their first two meets. In the Mountaineer Open, Wake Forest place first with a total of 18 points and Anne Bersagel capturing first place with a time of 17:27.40. The WFU Alumni Invitational gave the Deacs a first place showing as well, finishing with 16 points and Jill Miller as the top runner at 17:52.50.

Wake Forest will be tested next at the Iona Invitational in New York. The meet will be on Saturday, September 28.
