The Wake Forest women's volleyball team will look to pick up a pair of ACC victories this weekend as the Demon Deacons host NC State Friday night and North Carolina Saturday night. Match time against the Wolfpack is set for 7 p.m., while against the Tar Heels, the Deacs will take the court at 6 p.m. Both will be played at Reynolds Gym.
The Deacons enter the matches this weekend coming off two strong conference matches against Maryland and Virginia. Led by junior Erin Borhart with a pair of triple-doubles, the Deacs defeated Maryland, 3-2, picking up their first conference win. Against the Cavaliers, Wake Forest put up a tough fight, but fell 2-3 in Charlottesville.
Against the Pack, the Deacs hold a 15-19 series record, with Wake taking the last 12 meetings. NC State will enter the competition with a 10-14 overall record and a 0-10 ACC record.
Against North Carolina, the Deacs are 11-30 with the last meeting a 3-1 victory for the Deacs and will enter the weekend with a 13-11 overall record and a 7-4 ACC record, which gives the Tar Heels the third place position in the conference.
After this weekend, the Deacs will travel to Clemson on Friday, Nov. 5 and then to Georgia Tech on Sunday.
