WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest volleyball goes on the road this weekend to face the Virginia Cavaliers and Maryland Terrapins. The Demon Deacons are on a two game winning streak after 3-0 wins over NC State and UNC Greensboro and look to improve their even ACC record. Wake takes on Virginia Friday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. in Charlottesville, Va. and then Maryland on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 5 p.m. in College Park, Md.

The Demon Deacons defeated the Wolfpack and Spartans in three games before facing the upcoming ACC rivals. Wake comes into the match with key leaders in the ACC. Senior Trina Maso de Moya leads the ACC with 4.51 digs per game, senior Margaret Davidson leads the ACC with .367 hitting percentage and junior Ashlee Phillips is second in the ACC with 12.54 assists per game. As a team, Wake leads in kills totaling 648. Wake is 8-5 overall, 2-2 ACC.

Coming into the match the Cavaliers suffered two losses, to Florida State and Maryland, dropping to 5-6 overall, 1-3 ACC. Senior Jenny Harmon and sophomore Paige Davis will lead the attack for Virginia.

The Terrapins enjoyed wins over Virginia and Florida State this week, improving to 5-6 overall, 2-2 ACC. Junior Carey Brennan and sophomore Maria DiLivio will be key Maryland contributors.

Wake Forest's all-time series record versus Virginia is 8-10 and versus Maryland is 5-13.
