Winston-Salem, NC - Wake Forest junior Trina Maso de Moya was tabbed the conference's Player of the Week for her play against Maryland and Virginia last week. It marks the second time this season that she's earned this distinction, taking the season's first Player of the Week selection.

Maso de Moya, an outside hitter out of Plantation, FL, finished last week averaging 5.57 kills per game, 4.86 digs per game and a .333 hitting percentage. The Deacons added a 3-1 win over Maryland, a match in which Maso de Moya registered season-highs in kills, with 28, and digs, with 25.

Against the Terps, she also captured a .404 hitting percentage. In Wake's win over Virginia, Maso de Moya totaled 11 kills and nine digs in a 3-0 victory.

The Deacons continue their road trip, facing Duke September 29 at 7:30 pm in Durham, NC. Wake steps out of conference for a road match at Davidson on September 30, but the Deacs return home October 4 for a conference match versus Georgia Tech.
