Women's Soccer Hosts Maryland in Final Home Match of Season

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's soccer team will host the University of Maryland in the last home game of the season, Saturday at Spry Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

The meeting for the two teams will be the 13th overall, with the series tied at 6-6. At Spry, the Deacons and the Terrapins also are tied with two wins each. In the 2003, Wake Forest fell to Maryland 1-5 on Oct. 25, snapping a four game series winning streak for the Deacs.

Coming into the game, the Wake carries a 8-5-1 record with outing a 3-0 loss to #2 North Carolina. The Terps will enter the game 5-5-2 overall and 2-3-1 in the conference. Last time out, Maryland tied with the 14th ranked Florida State Seminoles, who previously defeated the Deacs, 1-0, on Oct. 8.

After Maryland, the Deacs will travel to NC State on Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. before going down south to Clemson on Oct. 28 for the final regular season ACC game.
