Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's soccer team moved into the top-10 in the latest poll released by Soccer America on Tuesday. The 10th ranked Demon Deacons were previously unranked in the poll.

The Deacons had a strong showing last weekend drawing a 0-0 tie against No. 7 Santa Clara and beating San Diego, 5-1. The Deacs moved to 3-0-1 on the season.

The Deacons moved up 13 spots in the adidas/NSCAA coaches' poll from 21st to eighth.

Wake Forest also moved into the top-10 in Soccer Buzz Magazine's by placing ninth in the poll. The Deacs moved up eight slots from their previous ranking of 17th.

Finally, Soccer Times ranks the Demon Deacons 10th, an improvement from 21st in last week's poll.

This weekend, the Deacons will travel to the Pacific Northwest to battle Washington State on Friday and then travel to Oregon State on Sunday. For the latest information on these matches and on Wake Forest soccer, visit WakeForestSports.com.
