Seniors Maeke Boreel and Ariel Meyers have been selected to represent Wake Forest in the annual North/South Senior All-Star Game, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. Boreel and Meyers are two of six seniors selected from the ACC to participate on the 19 person squad.
Pending participation in the NCAA Championship, Boreel and Meyers will play for the south region in the all-star game scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 19 at the University of Louisville.
Boreel, a native of Alamen, Holland, has started all 83 games and in 2004 led both the ACC and the nation in assists. In her senior season, Boreel has scored four goals and added two assists. Meyers, a defender from Lititz, Pa., has played in 83 games and started 61. Named to the NCAA All-Tournament team in 2004, she was an NFHCA All-South Region selection and has scored 20 goals in her collegiate career.
