GREENSBORO, NC - Nathan Sisco, a junior on the Wake Forest men's cross country team earned ACC Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week honors Monday afternoon after capturing sixth place at the Furman Invitational/Pre-NCAA Meet at the Furman University Golf Course Oct. 13. Sisco, who hails from Lebanon, NJ, led the 14th ranked Demon Deacons to a 10th place finish among the field of 36 teams on the 8,000 Meter route on the same course where the NCAA Championships will be held Nov. 19. He finished ahead of all ACC runners with a time of 24:27.

Sisco won the same award two weeks ago after racing to a 10th place finish at the Roy Griak Invitational Sept. 29 in St. Paul, MN. He finished ahead of all ACC runners at that event as well and led Wake Forest to a sixth place finish out of 36 teams.

Coming off a successful track season last spring, Sisco is the defending ACC Champion in the indoor Mile, outdoor 1,500 Meter Run and part of the ACC Championship Distance Medley Relay team that broke the conference record and finished ninth at the NCAA Championships.

The Demon Deacon cross country teams will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 27, when they travel to Clemson, SC, for the ACC Championships.
