Clemson, S.C. - The men's track team performed strongly at the Orange and Purple Classic this weekend in Clemson, SC.

Junior John Stone led the Deacs capturing second place in both the 100 and 200 meter dashes. Stone finished the 100 meter dash in 10.45 and the 200 meter dash in 20.89.

Sophomore Garick Hill won the 5000 meter run with a time of 14:55.21, while senior Jay Penry and sophomore Sean Nagorny captured third and fourth in the event with times of 15:14.94 and 15:43.48, respectively.

Junior Joe Ladapo earned a second place finish in the shot put with a distance of 46'09.50", while freshman Alan Susi captured second place in the javelin with a throw measuring 182'05".

The team will next compete in the Georgia Tech Invitational to be held in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 19-20.
