Harrisonburg, VA -- After a two-week exam break, the Wake Forest men's and women's outdoor track and field teams were back in action on Sunday at the James Madison University Invitational. Highlights from today's events were first-place finishes from Adam Gabrault in the Hammer Throw and Tom Tymann in the Shot Put. Brad Wharton, who placed second in the 1,500M, ran a regionally qualifying time of 3:49.27.
Shauna Danos finished ninth in the 800M with a time of 2:11.31, while in the 1,500M, Nikeya Green ran a 4:26.78 for sixth place and Courtney Lancashire placed 24th with a time of 4:40.50. Elizabeth Washam had a mark of 3.30M in the Pole Vault for third place and Lindsay Neuberger took third in the Shot Put and eighth in the Discus Throw.
Mike Altieri captured third in the 1,500M with a time of 3:50.06. Tymann also finished seventh in the Discus, while Josh Carter placed seventh in the Shot Put and eighth in the Discus. In the Javelin, Mike Hauck came in fifth and Zach Hamilton took sixth.
