PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Wake Forest Outdoor Track & Field teams competed in the 2001 Penn Relays at the University of Pennsylvania over the weekend. The men's Distance Medley Relay squad and the 4x800-Meter Relay team both eclipsed school records and all three women's relay teams bested season highs.

On Friday, the Distance Medley Relay team of Nathan Sisco, Ryan Hamilton, Paul Singleton and Chris Estwanik logged a time of 9:40.14, shattering the nine-year-old school record by nearly five seconds. Saturday saw three of the four runners best another school record as Sisco, Estwanik, Josh Buffolino and Singleton ran a 7:23.12 in the 4x800-Meter Relay. Junior Cliff Neal took ninth in the hammer throw with a toss of 173'3".

On the women's side, Summer Shaw, Shauna Danos, Kelly Brady and Nikeya Green set a new season best with a time of 8:45.83 in the 4x800-Meter Relay, which was good for eighth place. Brady, Courtney Lancashire, Kara Mullin and Sara Day took tenth in the 4x1500-Meter Relay with a time of 18:47.95, also a season best. Shaw, Green, Carol Merritt and Day finished sixth in the Distance Medley Relay with a time of 11:26.22, again the team's best time of the season.
