Green Earns All-America Honors at NCAA Indoor Championships

March 12, 2004

FAYETTEVILLE, AR-- Wake Forest senior Nikeya Green ran a 2:07.25 in Friday's 800m preliminaries at the 2004 Indoor Track and Field Championships. The competition is being held on Friday and Saturday at the University of Arkansas' Randal Tyson Track Center.

With her ninth-place finish, Green earns All-America honors but unfortunately her time was not fast enough to qualify for Saturday's 800m finals. The Woodbridge, Va. native was the only Demon Deacon to record an automatic NCAA qualifying time this season. Wake Forest begins its outdoor track season March 18-19 at the Texas A&M Multi-Meet.
