BLACKSBURG, Va.-- The Wake Forest men's and women's track teams each competed at the ACC Track and Field Championships held in Blacksburg, Virginia Feb. 18.

After the first day the men's team stands in 5th place with 18 points, 13 shy of leader North Carolina. Junior Stephan Pro turned in the best individual effort of the day placing second with a time of 14:33.89 in the 5000m. John Stone advanced to the finals of both the 60 meters and 200 meters with times of 6.81 and 21.39 seconds respectively.

On the women's side, the team stands in 6th place after day one with 18 points. Senior Janelle Kraus lead the way as she claimed her second-consecutive ACC title in the 5000m, winning the event with a time of 16:35.08. The women's distance medley team also faired well, placing second with a time of 11:34.24.

Saturday's events begin at 10 a.m. with the running events beginning at 1 p.m. with the mile.
