BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Wake Forest men's track team had another successful outing as they completed the Virginia Tech Invitational track meet today. The team was lead by several strong individual performances as well as a strong performance by the 4x800 meter relay team.

Sophomore Philip Wiles paced the Deacs with a tenth place, 8:34.66, finish in the 3,000 meter run. Seniors Jack Bishop and Jay Penry also gave strong performances today with Bishop finishing 12th by posting a time of 15:37.45 in the 5,000 and Penry coming in 14th with a time of 4:15.99 in the one mile.

The story of the day, however, was the Demon Deacon 4x800 squad who captured third place with a time of 7:48.34.

The Wake Forest Men's track team will return to action February 18-19 at the ACC Indoor Championships again in Blacksburg, VA.
