BLACKSBURG, Va. - The final day of the Pepsi Indoor Invitational at Virginia Tech ended with strong performances from both the Deacon men's and women's track teams.

Sophomore Valerie Waldron finished 12th in the 800 meter run, while the women's 4x800 team took second place out of ten teams.

The men's squad also had a strong performance today thanks to three sophomores. Chris Estwanik finished sixth in the one mile run, Michael Altieri finished sixth in the 3,000 meter run and Philip Wiles captured second in the 5,000 meter run.

The women's next meet will be at the Notre Dame Invitational on February 5-6, while the men will also travel to South Bend, IN, for the Meyo Invitational on February 4-5.
