One of the most decorated athletes in the history of Wake Forest returns for her third year as a an assistant coach for her alma mater. Jill Snyder, a five-time All-American for the Demon Deacons from 1998-2001, is an invaluable assett on the coaching staff with her wealth of knowledge and experience.

The owner of the best mile time in the nation for three weeks during the 2000 season, Snyder followed up All-American performances in the mile and the outdoor 1,500m that year by earning All-American honors in both the mile and the distance medley relay in 2001.

Snyder captured ACC Championships four times and earned All-ACC distinction seven times over her career, dominating the Mile Run, 1,500-Meter Run, 800-Meter Run and Distance Medley Relay. Honored as Wake Forest's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 1998-99, Snyder was named to the Women's Cross Country Academic All-America team in 1998.

A Lewisburg, Pa., native, Snyder earned an bachelor's degree in English in 2000 and a master's degree in education in 2001 - both from Wake Forest. Still training under Coach Bennett, Snyder competes for Adidas. She placed 6th in the 2003 US Indoor 1500m and is training for the 2004 Olympic Trials.
