Paul, Parr Win USA Futures Doubles Tournament

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Former Wake Forest All-American Todd Paul and rising junior Cory Parr teamed up to win USA F15 - Buffalo Bills Futures Tournament last Sunday in Rochester, N.Y. The clay event marked the first post-college title for Paul who completed his stellar Wake Forest career last month.

The unseeded Deacon pair upset the tournament's third seed, Troy Hahn and Vahind Mirzadeh in the first round, 6-1, 6-7 (3), 2-1 ret. Paul and Parr rolled the rest of the way and did not drop a set.

In the final, the Deacons defeated former UCLA star Chris Lam and former Florida star Greg Ouellette, 6-4, 6-1.

Paul is participating in the USA F16 clay event in Pittsburgh, Pa., this week.
