Greensboro, NC -- The Wake Forest men's tennis team will travel to Cary, N.C., for this week's ACC Tournament as the sixth seed. The Demon Deacons will face 11th-seeded Maryland on Thursday at the Cary Tennis Center at 3:00 p.m. The winner advances to play third-seeded Miami on Friday at 3:00 p.m.

Wake Forest finished the regular season with a 14-9 overall record, 6-5 in the ACC and ranked 26th nationally.

In the regular season matchup between the Deacons and the Terrapins, Wake Forest prevailed 5-2. The Deacons won the doubles point and won four of six singles matches for the victory on April 1 in Winston-Salem.

Wake Forest and Maryland have met only once in the ACC Tournament. That match was in 1988, a 6-3 Deacon victory in the quarterfinals. Wake Forest has won 28 of the 38 all-time meetings.
