Men's Tennis Hosts ACC Indoors This Weekend

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.-- The Wake Forest men's tennis team will open up the 2004 season by hosting the ACC Indoors this weekend in Winston-Salem. Seven teams from the conference will send players to the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center for a tournament which runs from Friday through Sunday. Results and draws will be posted on www.tennisinformation.com. The tournament identification number is 5146455.

Six of the seven ACC schools which will be represented at the tournament are ranked in the nation's top 50, as released by the ITA on Tuesday. Wake Forest enters the ACC Indoors with a team ranking of 30th and will be led by freshman Andrew Hamar who is ranked 76th individually. Overall, seven of the ACC's nine teams are in the top 50 and seven individuals are ranked in the top 100.

The Demon Deacons had a productive fall season and will look to start off the 2004 campaign with a strong showing this weekend at Wake Forest's Indoor Tennis Center.
