Bere Wins Consolation Singles Draw At Virginia Tech

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Wake Forest men's tennis team concluded action Sunday in the final day of the Burrows/Burleson Virginia Tech Invitational. David Bere won out the rest of his singles matches to win his consolation flight.

Bere won the consolation final in straight sets, beating Angel Diankov from Virginia Tech 6-0, 7-5.

Mike Murray lost 6-4, 6-2 to Ivor Lovrak from Baylor in the semifinals of the top singles flight.

Brett Ross lost 6-1, 6-7 (4), 6-3 to Darrin Cohen from Virginia in the consolation semifinals.
