topped the Owls 3-1, before beating the Wildcats 2-1.
In the 3-1 loss to USF on Friday, Justin Kaufman was the only Deacon to
come up with a win in flight 1, while Raul Munoz and David Loewemhal
picked up two singles victories in flight 2, as Wake Forest fell in the
top two flights. The Deacs captured flight 3 behind a pair of singles
victories by David Bere and one by Trent Brendon. South Florida wiped up
in fourth flight, leaving Andrew Simpson with the lone Demon Deacon
singles win.
On Saturday, Wake Forest came out firing against Florida Atlantic,
earning a 3-1 victory. Despite falling in flight 1, the Demon Deacons
ran away with the lower three flights, 11-4. Mike Murray won both his
singles matches, while Trent Brendon and Andrew Simpson earned wins in
both of their respective singles matches, as well as in doubles. Every

time. Wake Forest and Kentucky played three flights against each other
and the Demon Deacons won two, sending the Wildcats home winless. Wake
Forest was swept in flight one, losing all three matches, but the Deacs
showed its depth again, taking flights two and three. Lowemhal, Munoz,
Brendon, and Bere each won in singles, while Kaufman and Simpson teamed
up for a flight 3 doubles victory.
