STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Michael Murray of the Wake Forest men's tennis team, suffered a pair of loses in the main draw of singles play at the ITA Men's All-American Championships Thursday at Lincoln Tennis Center. Already eliminated from doubles competition last week with partner Raul Munoz, the Demon Deacon representatives return home to Winston-Salem.

Murray, a sophomore from Clearwater, Fla., lost 6-3, 6-4 to Tiago Ruffoni of Auburn in the first round of match play Thursday morning. Then he fell to Andy Leber from Texas-Arlington, 6-2, 7-6 in the first round of the consolation bracket.

Munoz, a senior from Mexico City, Mexico, lost 6-2, 6-2 to Richard Magney in the first pre-qualifying round of singles play last Thursday.

In doubles action, Munoz and Murray lost 8-2 to Richard Magney and Benn Stapp in the first qualifying round this past Tuesday.

The Demon Deacons will be back in action Oct. 20-22 at the South Florida Fall Invitational in Tampa, Fla.
