WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- The Wake Forest men's tennis team was defeated by the 16th-ranked Virginia Commonwealth Rams 4-2 at the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center on Saturday.

For Wake Forest, Michael Murray defeated Jose Sanchez 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles. At No. 6 singles, Justin Kaufmann defeated Olle Lundberg 6-4, 7-6. The Deacs also won one of the three doubles matches to make the final score 4-2.

With the loss, Wake drops to 10-10 on the season. The Deacons will play again on Sunday when they host ACC foe Georgia Tech. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m. at Leighton Tennis Stadium.
