GREENVILLE, SC - The Wake Forest men's tennis team defeated the
Furman Palladins 7-0 at Furman's Mickel Tennis Center on Sunday.
Freshman Michael Murray won at No. 1 singles, defeating Lee Nickell
6-4, 6-4. Johan Hansen played at the No. 2 spot and defeated James Cameron
3-6, 7-5, 6-3. At the No. 3 spot, Michael Berger defeated Drew Parker 6-3,
7-5. Wake swept the three doubles matches with Murray and Raul Munoz
defeating Cameron and John Chesworth 8-5 at No. 1 doubles. Hansen and
Berger defeated Parker and Nickell 8-5 at No. 2 and Justin Kaufmann and
Trent Brendon defeated Seth Hauser and Navarro 9-7 at No. 3.
With the win, Wake improves to 9-9 on the season, while Furman
drops to 16-10 with the loss. Wake will be back in action on Thursday,
April 6 when they travel to East Tennessee State.
