and Gustav Bucht in the number two doubles match, winning 8-5. Raul
Munoz and David Loewenthal couldn't stop Florida State's Alex Herrera in
the number one doubles match, losing 8-6. Wake Forest secured the point
when Justin Kaufmann and Andrew Simpson dropped Jeff Scarella and Jerrod
Owen of Florida State 8-6 in the number three doubles match.
Bere, Loewenthal, Murray, Brendon and Kaufmann picked up wins for the
Demon Deacons in singles play. Bere topped Florida State's Bucht, 6-2,
6-3 in the number two match. Loewenthal was too much for Florida State's
Owen winning 6-2, 6-2 in the number three match. Brendon also won in
straight sets for the Deacs, blasting Scarella of Florida State 6-2,
6-4. Kaufmann and Murray finished up indoors after the rain started and
outlasted their Seminole opponents. Kaufmann beat Rodrigo Laub 7-6, 6-3
(4) and Murray came back from behind to beat Romain Jurd 4-6, 6-1, 6-2.
Raul Munoz lost the number one match to Florida State's Xavier Luscan
