WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The 58th ranked Wake Forest men's tennis team upset No. 11 Florida, 5-2 Friday afternoon at Leighton Stadium. The Demon Deacons won the doubles point and then took four of six singles matches.

Justin Kaufmann and Andrew Simpson beat Florida's Olivier Levant and Ross Greenstein 8-4 in doubles and Mike Murray teamed up with David Bere to battle past Troy Hahn and Matt Berhmann of Florida 9-8, 7-4 in the tiebreaker. In singles play Justin Kaufmann and Trent Brendon won in straight sets, David Bere and Mike Murray lost to ranked Gators and Raul Munoz upset No. 21 Nathan Overholser 5-7, 6-0, 7-6 (5).

Florida falls to 5-4 while Wake Forest improves to 5-2 on the year. The Demon Deacons will return to action 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Mar. 10 when the Deacs host No. 74 Furman.
