WINSTON-SALEM. NC - The 32nd-ranked Wake Forest men's tennis team rolled over No. 68 Georgia State with a 5-2 victory at the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center Saturday afternoon. The Deacons swept the doubles matches to capture the team point and won four of six singles matches to extend Wake Forest's winning streak to five.

Wake Forest's duo of Mike Murray (Jr., St. Petersburg, FL) and Derrick Spice (Fr., N. Olmsted, OH) extended their unbeaten streak, winning the No. 2 doubles match 8-6 over Pablo Perez-Gras and Luka Bernard.

David Loewenthal (So., Franklin Lakes, NJ), ranked 24th in singles, took the No. 1 singles match over the Panthers' Matias Ormaza by scores of 6-2, 5-7, 6-4. David Bere (Jr., Midland, MI) topped Perez-Gras 6-3, 6-3 in the No. 3 singles match. Wake Forest's Trent Brendon (Jr., Victorville, CA) trounced Miha Lisac in straight sets in the No. 5 singles match with a 6-1, 6-3 score and Justin Kaufmann (Sr., Mission Hills, KS) secured the win for the Demon Deacons with a swift victory over Nicolas Lupica in the No. 6 singles match, 6-1, 6-2.

Wake Forest improves its record to 5-1 with the win and Georgia State falls to 4-2 with the loss. The Demon Deacons return to action Sunday afternoon when they host unranked East Tennessee State at 1:00 p.m. in the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center.
