Demon Deacons battle hard, but couldn't stop the Hurricanes

CORAL GABLES, FL - The 73rd ranked Wake Forest men's tennis team lost 4-2 Sunday afternoon to No. 20 Miami 4-2. The Demon Deacons fought hard, losing three matches in tie-breaking sets to the Hurricanes.

David Loewenthal and Trent Brendon earned victories for Wake Forest. Mike Murray and Justin Kaufmann both lost in extra sets - in singles and together in doubles.

Miami improves to 6-0 on the year. The Demon Deacons fall to 4-1 on the season and will return to action Feb. 24, to play No. 11 Virginia Commonwealth at 1:00 p.m. in Richmond, VA.
