Deacons Wrap Up Play At ACC Indoors

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.-- The Wake Forest men's tennis team wrapped up competition at the ACC Indoors Sunday at the Indoor Tennis Center in Winston-Salem.

The tournament's top two seeds, Nicholas Monroe from North Carolina and Doug Stewart of Virginia squared off in the singles championship with Stewart coming out on top, 7-5, 6-4.

In the doubles bracket, Wake Forest's pairing of Derrick Spice and Brett Ross defeated teammates Andrew Hamar and Todd Paul, 8-6 in Sunday's semifinals before dropping a tight 8-6 championship match to Duke's Peter Rodrigues and Jonathan Stokke.
