Made immediate impact for Deacons in first year... tallied 30 singles victories on the season and 21 doubles wins... led team with 6-2 ACC doubles mark... won the deciding match of first two wins of the season and partnered with Derrick Spice for doubles victories as well... won at singles and doubles in 7-0 pounding of #50 Michigan Feb. 9... teamed with David Berè to take out Minnesota's Wettengel/Zharinov and then rallied to beat Avery Ticer in singles... went on a seven-match win streak, in singles and doubles, beginning at Arizona State Mar. 12 and going through the 4-2 win over #41 North Carolina that included singles victories over Virginia's Darrin Cohen, Duke's Yorke Allen, Georgia Tech's Marko Rajevac, Geoff Boyd from UNC and doubles wins over Gonyer/Nolen from Virginia, Walter/Zimmermann from Duke, #19 Anderson/Schnugg from Georgia Tech and Meniane/Archer from North Carolina... made quick work of Ben Brier in the 4-3 first round win over #46 Brown in the NCAA Tournament... fought past Cameron Fenner from Texas A&M and Oregon's Junaid Hossain in singles play and picked up a doubles win with Spice over DeHeart/Martin from Illinois in Hawaii... went 3-1 in both singles and doubles at ACC Indoors, beating Rajevac from Georgia Tech, Duke's Peter Shults and Nolen from Virginia before falling to teammate and eventual tournament champion David Loewenthal in the singles quarterfinal and advanced to the semifinals of the doubles draw with Spice, beating Amritraj/Shults from Duke plus Georgia Tech's Menano/Rajevac... put together a 13-5 singles record in first fall of collegiate career and went 5-4 in doubles play... started fall with seven straight singles victories... won his singles flight at Virginia Invitational with five consecutive wins, including a straight set victory over teammate Andrew Simpson in the finals... advanced to the finals of the top doubles flight at the Virginia Invitational with Spice, including an 8-5 win over Virginia's Duquette/Cohen... singles finalist at the Southeastern Collegiate Invitational, picking up three straight set wins in a row.
