WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The second-seeded Wake Forest men's soccer team continues NCAA action on Sunday at 1 p.m. with West Virginia at Spry Stadium. 2007 marks the eighth consecutive season that the Demon Deacons have battled in the NCAA Sweet 16.

After receiving a first round bye, the Demon Deacons advanced with a 1-0 win over Furman in the second round of the tourney on Wednesday night. Senior Julian Valentin scored the game-winner in the 23rd minute to give Wake the winning edge.

The No. 15 seed Mountaineers recently knocked off Atlantic Coast Conference foe Virginia with a 1-0 victory in the second round in Morgantown, W.Va. Senior midfielder Dan Stratford's goal off a free kick in the 51st minute set the final score in the post-season battle.
