WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - After receiving a first round bye, the No. 2-seed Wake Forest men's soccer team will begin NCAA Championship play on Wednesday with Furman at 7 p.m. at the Demon Deacons' Spry Stadium.

Tickets for adults are $6, $4 for groups of 10 or more and $3 for youth and students. They are available for purchase in person at the Wake Forest ticket office, by phone at 336.758.3322 or on the web here. For more detailed tournament information visit Wake Forest's host site information.

The No. 1 ranked Demon Deacons (17-2-2) opened post-season play with the ACC Tournament on November 14. After defeating Clemson 3-1 and North Carolina 1-0 in overtime, Wake Forest fell to No. 1-seed Boston College 2-1 in the tournament finals in Cary, N.C.

The Paladins (19-3-0) clinched the Southern Conference tournament title with a 1-0 overtime win over UNC Greensboro on November 18 and followed with an opening NCAA tournament shutout (2-0) against Campbell last Saturday.

The teams met earlier this season in exhibition action on August 20 where the Deacons took a 2-0 win in Greenville, South Carolina. The Paladins hold a 3-0-2 lead through the last five meetings, with the most recent coming in the second round of the 1999 NCAA Tournament. The Demon Deacon season ended with the Furman 4-0 victory at Spry Stadium.
