Winston-Salem, N.C. - Wake Forest is seeded third in the upcoming NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament and will receive a first-round bye. The pairings for the field of 48 were announced this afternoon by the NCAA. It is the third straight appearance and the eighth overall in the history of Demon Deacon soccer.

Wake Forest (15-4) will play the winner of the first-round game between Virginia and Seton Hall on Wednesday, November 26 at 7:00 p.m. at Spry Stadium.

The Demon Deacons have never met Seton Hall in soccer before. Wake Forest has already played Virginia twice this season, in the regular season in Charlottesville and three days ago in the ACC Tournament semifinals in Cary, NC. Both were one-goal losses to the Wahoos. Wake Forest and Virginia have never met in the NCAA Tournament.

Six of the ACC's seven teams made the tournament field. Of Wake Forest's 19 games this season, 12 were played against teams that were selected to the tournament. The Deacons posted a record of 8-4 against those teams which include Clemson, Coastal Carolina, Connecticut, Davidson, Maryland, North Carolina, NC State, Old Dominion, St. John's, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
