The Wake Forest men's soccer team climbed to No. 7 in the latest edition of the Soccer America poll released this afternoon. In the coaches poll, the Deacons moved from No. 21 to No. 13.

Wake Forest extended its winning streak to seven games with two wins last week including a 4-2 victory over North Carolina and a 5-0 shutout of High Point. The seven-game winning streak is the second-longest in school history. Only the 1989 ACC Championship squad has a better mark having won 10 in a row during that year. The current team has not been defeated since Sept. 23, a span of nine games.

The No. 7 ranking in the Soccer America poll is the team's highest since mid-September of last year.

Wake Forest (11-3-1, 2-1-1 ACC) will defend its ranking on Saturday night at Spry Stadium against Duke. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
