A pair of Wake Forest men's soccer alumni have helped their respective teams into the playoffs and will be battling for championships this week.

Serge Daniv (1995-98) and the Chicago Fire have advanced to the semifinals of the MLS Cup. Their best-of-three series against the Los Angeles Galaxy begins Wednesday night at Soldier Field in Chicago. The game will be televised by ESPN2 on tape delay at 10:00 p.m. EST. Game two in Los Angeles is Saturday October 13 at 10:00 p.m. EST on Fox Sports Chicago.

In the A-League, Chad Evans (1996-99) and the Hershey Wildcats will play for their league championship on Saturday October 13 against Rochester. The game will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Net at 8:00 p.m. EST.

In their careers at Wake Forest, Daniv and Evans were both three-time All-ACC selections.
