Men's Soccer Opens 2006 Spring Season With SPort-Ed FC

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's soccer team opens its 2006 spring season Tuesday night with an exhibition match against SPort-Ed FC. Kickoff at Spry Stadium is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Wake Forest finished the 2005 season at 13-8-2 overall. The Deacons reached the Sweet 16 for the second consecutive year and third time in the last four seasons.

SPort-Ed FC is a touring club from the United Kingdom that has already played Campbell and UNC Wilmington.

Admission to the match is free. Wake Forest will also host Elon on Apr. 5 at 7 pm, Old Dominion on Apr. 8 at 2 pm and High Point on Apr. 8 at 4:30 pm.
