WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The 19th-ranked Wake Forest men's soccer team scored a pair of goals in the game's final 15 minutes to post a 2-1 comeback victory over Davidson on Wednesday night at Spry Stadium. The win extends the Demon Deacon unbeaten streak to seven games.

Wake Forest (9-3-1) and Davidson (8-5) were scoreless at halftime despite the Deacons' 8-3 edge in shots. At the 52:00 mark, Davidson's Chris Norbet tallied his 14th of the season with an assist to Erik Ozimek to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead. It was the first goal allowed by the Deacons in more than 192 minutes, dating back to the Charlotte game last week.

Playing with a sense of urgency, the Demon Deacons began pressuring the ball all over the pitch. In the 76th minute, their persistence paid off. Following a Davidson shot, goalkeeper William Hesmer quickly sent a long ball to Jeremiah White on the left flank. White worked past the Davidson defender and lofted a pass to James Riley on the opposite side of the penalty area. Riley one-timed the ball back to White who was left alone in the front of the goal. White buried it for his ACC-leading 10th goal of the season at 75:21.

Not content with a 1-1 result, Wake Forest continued to press the Wildcats and again it was White who was in on the action. He found sophomore Vicente Bastidas near the corner of the penalty area. Bastidas shot with the left foot past the diving goalkeeper into the lower right corner of the net for the game-winner. It was the first of the season for Bastidas who was assisted by White, a fellow Pennsylvania native.

Wake Forest will have the weekend off before facing High Point at Spry Stadium on Tuesday night at 5:30 p.m. Following the men's game, the Wake Forest women's team will tackle Charlotte.
