No. 7 Wake Forest Tops High Point, 3-1
Men's soccer continues unbeaten string.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.--The seventh-ranked Wake Forest men's soccer
team defeated the High Point Panthers 3-1 Saturday night at Spry Stadium.
Greg Krauts scored the first goal of the game off an assist from
Chris Lonteen to give Wake a 1-0 lead at the 28:40 mark of the game. Ten
minutes later the Deacons gave the Panthers an own-goal which tied the game
at 1-1, which was the score as the two teams headed to halftime.
For most of the second half, neither team could score, but Wake
Forest finally broke through when Ben Stafford scored off an assist from
Krauss at 82:59 in the game to give the Deacons the winning goal. Wake
added another goal at the 86:14 mark when Aaron Thomas scored off an assist
from Viktor Litovka to make the final score 3-1.
With the win, Wake Forest improves to 9-0-4 on the season, while
High Point drops to 7-5. The Deacons will return to action on Saturday,
Oct. 23 when they travel to College Park, Md. to take on the Maryland
Terrapins in a key ACC matchup. Gametime is set for 7 p.m.
