Deacon Men's Soccer Drops College of Charleston, 2-1
Stafford scores game-winning goal at 65:03 mark.

CHARLESTON, S.C.-- The Wake Forest men's soccer team earned its
first road vistory of the 1999 season by defeating the College of Chaleston
2-1 Sunday night.
Wake Forest scored first on a goal by Chad Evans at the 42:00 mark.
Alan Greenidge tied the game for Charleston with a goal 63:00 into the
game. Two minutes later, Ben Stafford scored the game-winning goal for the
Deacons off an assist from Jamal Seale.
With the win, Wake improves to 2-0 on the season, while College of
Charleston drops to 0-1. The Deacons next game will be Wednesday, September
8, when Wake plays host to the Liberty Flames at Spry Stadium. The game is
set for 7 p.m.
