Bill Haas of Wake Forest was named the recipient of the Jack Nicklaus Award presented by Dillard's, Inc. and Hartmarx Corp. and was selected to the PING All-America First Team following the final round of the NCAA Division I Championships announced the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

A senior from Greer, S.C., Haas won five times this season, led the nation in stroke average and set an NCAA record for stroke average. He also posted seven additional top five finishes, including a second place showing at the Division I championships. In addition to the Nicklaus - which is presented to the college player of the year - and PING All-America first-team honors, Haas was previously presented The Ben Hogan Award.

Ryan Moore, a junior from UNLV, claimed the Outback Steakhouse Arnold Palmer Award for winning medalist honors at the NCAA Championships. Moore won the championship by six strokes for his third victory of the season. Moore also earned PING first-team All-America honors.

The Phil Mickelson Award, presented to the outstanding freshman in Division I men's golf, was presented to Anthony Kim of Oklahoma. Kim claimed medalist honors once this season and posted four additional top-five finishes.

The PING All-America first team consisted of Matt Every and Camilo Villegas of Florida, Haas, Hartwick, Kentucky's John Holmes, Brock Mackenzie of Washington, UNLV's Ryan Moore, Chris Nallen of Arizona, Lamar's Chris Stroud and Peter Tomasulo of California.
