The University of Georgia finished at 23-under par 841 and won the Isleworth-UCF Collegiate Invitational by 21 strokes at the Isleworth Country Club on Tuesday.
Wake Forest finished in fifth place after a team score of 10-over 298 in the final round. The Deacons posted a 54-hole total of 868.
The fifth-ranked Bulldogs won the tournament for the third time in four years. Their 21-stroke margin of victory was the greatest in the history of the tournament. Clemson finished second at two-under 862 while Southern California was third at one-under 863. Oklahoma State carded a 293 on Tuesday to finish at two-over and in fourth place.
Wake Forest, ranked 17th in the country, finished one stroke ahead of Georgia Tech, two shots in front of UCF and five strokes in front of South Carolina.
Georgia's Harris English took medalist honors with an 11-under 205, three strokes in front of Southern Cal's Jamie Lovemark.
The Deacons were led by sophomore Brendan Gielow who finished tied for 13th at one-under 215. Gielow had rounds of 69-71-75.
Senior Webb Simpson was one stroke behind at 216. He shot rounds of 69-74-73 and finished in a tie for 16th place.
Junior Dustin Groves, who tied the tournament record with a 66 on Monday, shot a closing 77 on Tuesday. He finished in a tie for 30th place at four-over 220.
Senior Chris McCartin carded a 74 in the final round to finish at six-over 222. Freshman Chris Cannon was in a tie for 76th place after a 76 on Tuesday. Cannon finished at 14-over 230.
Wake Forest's next tournament will be the its final one of the fall. The Deacons will participate in the Bridgestone Invitational at Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, NC.
