Kyle Reifers Leads Hall Of Fame Invitational After A 6-Under 66

HUMBLE, Texas - Wake Forest junior Kyle Reifers fired a 6-under par 66 to take the lead after 18 holes at the Hall of Fame Invitational here Friday.

Reifers led Wake Forest to a team total of 2-over 290 and third place out of 19 teams at the par 72 Redstone Golf Club. The 54-hole tournament continues Saturday and concludes on Sunday.

The fifth-ranked Demon Deacons are five strokes behind tournament leader TCU, which shot a 3-under 288. UNLV is in second place at 1-under, followed by Wake Forest. New Mexico, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are tied for fourth place, two shots behind the Deacons.

Reifers is three shots ahead of New Mexico's Charlie Beljin and four shots in front of a pack of seven golfers, who are tied for fourth place at 2-under.

Deacon freshman Chris McCartin is tied for 19th place after a 1-over par 73. Freshman Dustin Groves is tied for 38th after a 3-over 75. Junior Doug Manchester's 4-over 76 has him tied for 52nd place. Alex Yates, playing as an individual, shot a 5-over 77.
