WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest seniors Dustin Lyman and Fred Robbins have been selected to play in the 2000 Hula Bowl All-Star Football Classic, to be played in Maui, Hawaii, on January 22.

Lyman, the Deacs' starting inside linebacker, earned first-team All-ACC honors for his performance in 1999. In nine games, he tallied 56 tackles, seven tackles for loss, two sacks, four pass break-ups, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and a blocked extra point.

Robbins, a starting defensive tackle, earned second-team All-ACC honors in 1999. He led the Deacon defensive line with 44 tackles while also netting 15 tackles for loss, five sacks, a pass break-up, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

The Hula Bowl will mark the second trip to Hawaii in less than a month for these two players; the Demon Deacons will take on Arizona State in the 1999 Jeep Aloha Bowl on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time.
