Senior John Stone, who returned a kickoff for a touchdown for the third time in his career last Saturday against Georgia Tech, was named the ACC Specialist of the Week on Monday.

Stone earned the honor for the second time this season. He was also Specialist of the Week after putting together 233 all-purpose yards against Florida State on Sept. 29.

Stone's 93-yard kickoff return against Georgia Tech was his first this season. It was also the second-longest of his career and the seventh-longest in Wake Forest history. He also caught two passes for 26 yards, including a long of 22 yards, and he rushed the ball three times against the Yellow Jackets.

The Somers Point (NJ) native is the first Deacon to win an ACC Player of the Week honor for the second time this season. Deacons have won the honor a total of eight times by seven different players this season.

Wake Forest, 5-5, concludes the regular season Saturday at home against Northern Illinois (1 p.m. kickoff).
