June 16, 2006

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Demon Deacon football fans already knew the date, opponent and location of the season opener. Now they know the time. Wake Forest will kick off the 2006 campaign at 6:30 p.m. on September 2 against Syracuse at Groves Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ESPN360.

The Connecticut game on September 16 in East Hartford, Conn., will be a noon kickoff, also on ESPN360.
